Alpacas of Alagaesia is a small farm consisting of 15 alpacas presently. We are located in Lakeville Indiana which is just south of South Bend (home of Notre Dame!). Time spent with our alpacas is like experiencing Heaven on earth...Like you will hear over and over when talking with alpaca farms...Why didn't we start our life with alpacas sooner??!!!
The goals for our farm are to have a small herd consisting of alpacas with elite fiber qualities, rich and natural colors, strong conformation and health in addition to a "typey" look that you just want to hug! We want to stay small enough to be able to offer the best of care to our animals and offer our best service to our clients. What does all this mean to you, you ask???
Bloodlines behind some of our foundation herd includes LEGENDARY alpacas like Hemingway, Chaccu, Snowmass Snow King, Accoyo Augusto, Accoyo Caligula, Pluro and Accoyo Vengador. Our alpacas also feature other Champion and ribbon winning alpacas such as Maple Brook Sapphire, Macintosh, Uber's Lil' Guy, Brittany's Desparado, Polaris and others. Be sure to check out the pedigrees for our alpacas on their info pages. As you can see, we have a small but potent herd! Our Alagaesia farm store is online now. In addition to our farm store, we are also part of Indiana's Alpaca Outfitter, LLC. Alpaca Outfitters is a joint venture between Turkey Creek Alpacas and ourselves and we are making our home at the brand new and exciting American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart Indiana! BLOG, BLOG, BLOG!!! EVENTS We are busy this fall and winter at the Farmers Markets! Come and see us at 2 wonderful locations! We are now at the South Bend Farmers Market for the winter months! The South Bend FM is open Tuesday, Thursday 7am - 2pm and Saturdays 7am - 3pm! We are going to try and be there every day we can be if I don't have to work at the Elkhart market. We are also at the gorgeous "Big Red Barn" called The American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart IN. We are upstairs and our shop there is called Indiana's Alpaca Outfitter. We share the shop with Liz Clark of Turkey Creek and Kim Freel of The Yarn Cat! Kim has some really yummy yarns that go well with Alpaca in addition to many beautiful things that she creates by hand. The hours in Elkhart are Thursday-Saturday 8am - 4pm!
